Brief Description
As well as its own housing activity in and around Bristol, all the properties formerly owned by North British Housing (NBH) in the West are now BCHA's responsibility too. With 3,400 units now in management, its operation has expanded to include local authority areas further afield - in Wiltshire, South Somerset and South Wales. It is also one of the few housing associations to provide a range of housing services either directly or through agents or partners. BCHA has long been recognised for developing good quality homes, many of them the result of far-sighted urban renewal and restoration projects. It has also earned respect as a provider of supported housing and care for residents whose needs range from mild learning disabilities to physical disabilities.
