Brief Description
The Addiction Recovery Agency (ARA) is a voluntary organisation and registered charity founded in Bristol in 1987. ARA provides abstinence based residential and structured day care services incorporating a fully integrated treatment strategy.
Client Services
Accommodation for 18 men and 7 women in 4 shared houses. Counselling based on the 12 step model of recovery
Housing support offices who provide housing management and advice on welfare benefits and life skills support
Learning and Skills officer provides advice and assistance to access education, training and voluntary work opportunities.
Access to move on. Clients completing the programme are assisted to move on to ARA's third stage housing. On going support is available for a year.
Access Restrictions
Single people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, 18+. Applicants must be abstinent from mood-altering chemicals for between 14 and 21 days. Priority is given to applicants with a Bristol connection. Self or agency referral via the programme manager.
