Caring at Christmas is a project from Caring in Bristol.

What we do

The Caring at Christmas shelter provides homeless people with warm and safe accommodation in Bristol over the Christmas period. We open from 3pm 23rd December 24/7 all the way through until new years day.

Services include:

    • Around 300 hot meals per day
  • Medical
    • Doctors, nurses and first aid
  • Amenities
    • Showers
    • Laundry service and clean clothes
    • Massages, aromatherapy, hairdressing
    • Chiropody & manicures
  • Companionship
  • Counselling
  • Entertainment
    • Art and writing workshops
    • Live music
    • TV, DVDs, books and games
    • Pool and football table

Caring at Christmas is committed to working jointly with other charities and associations to tackle the causes and effects of homelessness. For the remainder of the year facilities are rented to the Julian Trust charity, which provides evening meals for around 60 people and accommodation for up to 18 people per night, 5 nights a week.
