Caring at Christmas Shelter

Caring at Christmas is a project from Caring in Bristol.

What we do

The Caring at Christmas shelter provides homeless people with warm and safe accommodation in Bristol over the Christmas period. We open from 3pm 24 th December 24/7 all the way through until 10am on 1 st January, 2017!

Services include:


Medical Services



Caring at Christmas Dormitory50+ beds/night
Around 300 hot meals per day

First aid provided by St John Ambulance
First aid is available on all days plus we have periodic visits from doctors and St John Ambulance throughout the week

TV, DVDs, books and games
Pool and football table

Massage is one service we provide at Caring at ChristmasMassages, aromatherapy, hairdressing, chiropody & manicures
Companionship and Counselling
Art and writing workshops
Live music

Caring at Christmas is committed to working jointly with other charities and associations to tackle the causes and effects of homelessness. For the remainder of the year facilities are used by the Julian Trust charity, which provides evening meals for around 60 people and accommodation for up to 18 people per night, 5 nights a week.  The Julian Trust purchased the building from us earlier in the year.
